Every child is individual

Therapy works best when it fits real life. My background in the classroom means I see the whole child — at school, at home and with family.
For more than 25 years, my working life has been spent alongside children — in classrooms, in Montessori settings and in specialist SEND support. I've seen first-hand how much a child's wellbeing shapes everything else: their learning, their friendships and how they feel about themselves.
Along the way I trained as an NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist, and I founded Nicomelia Therapy to bring those two worlds together. Because I know how schools work and what family life asks of children, I can understand a child's difficulties not just therapeutically, but within the real context of their day-to-day life.
I've worked one-to-one with children facing a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, behavioural challenges, low confidence and communication difficulties. No two children are the same, and no two approaches should be either — every programme I build is tailored to the individual in front of me.
Get in touchEach stage of my career has shaped how I work with children today — from understanding how children learn, to supporting those who need something a little different.
Years in schools taught me how classrooms feel from a child's point of view, and how pressures at school can spill over into home life.
Montessori's child-led approach shaped my belief in following each child's lead, respecting their pace and building independence.
Specialist one-to-one work with children with special educational needs, including ADHD, autism and communication difficulties.
Qualifying in NLP and hypnotherapy gave me powerful, gentle tools to help children change how they think, feel and respond.
Founded to bring it all together — an educator's understanding and a therapist's toolkit, tailored to each child.

Every child has strengths. Helping them recognise their own is often the first step towards real, lasting confidence.
School, home and family life are all connected. I look at the full picture, not just the difficulty in front of us.
The aim is always independence — practical tools your child can keep using well beyond our work together.
No two children are the same, and no two approaches should be either.
